FINAL FANTASY XIV Online: How Do I Preorder Evercold?

Short answer

Suggested fix (unconfirmed): Purchase the expansion on the Steam store page for Evercold. Then, register your Steam preorder code on the Mogstation.

The problem

Hi guys. I want to preorder Evercold, but was unable to do so when I went to the Mogstation website. When I went to the "Add Expansion" option on Mogstation, it said "No expansion pack available for this Service Account". How can I preorder Evercold? Thoughts and help appreciated :)

What players suggest

If you play here on Steam you need to buy here and then you register on the mogstation. If you're on free trial you need to get the starter edition as well, since the complete edition was not updated yet.
