I've been doing cargo charters, and I keep running into situations where I'm running low on fuel before reaching my destination. I figured I could just make a pit stop at a nearby port to refuel, repair any damage, and fix the hull if necessary. But every time I try while carrying cargo, the game won't let me. What players suggest
You can repair chartered ships by entering the engine room and repairing things manually. As for refueling, that cannot be done. For those long voyages you really need to use the ocean currents to conserve the fuel. All of the things you mentioned about going port to port can only freely be done using your own ships.
