The problem
Hey devs, I’m facing a really annoying issue: “Missing Windows Media Foundation and VP9 Codec.” Problem is these components can’t be installed anymore. Microsoft nuked them from Optional Features, Store, and DISM. There’s literally no official way to add them back. So right now, the game is unplayable on some/new Windows builds, not because of users, but because it relies on deprecated system…

Wow, that is actually insane. That needs to be fixed immediately, if so. Even worse, isn't Koei Tecmo basically in bed with Microsoft on this release? How is this not functioning on up-to-date Win11 builds.
doesnt work for me cannot download a update for the VP9 codec try doesnt do anything still causes the same issue
